Piglet Nails!

Hello There! I was requested to do piggy nails by a friend! I think this design is adorable. I've gotten many compliments on them. I apologize but I don't have step-by-step photo tutorials since it's been dark, raining, and flooding all week in CO. I'll try my best to explain what I did or hopefully you can play it out by eye.

  1. Paint a gray base color
  2. Use a white-pink polish to paint a arc on half of your nail
  3. Use a dark pink to paint a smaller arc inside for the white-pink color for the pig's nose
  4. Use the same dark pink to paint the ears
  5. Use a dotting tool to make the eyes between the ears
  6. Use a thin brush to draw 2 lines in the dark pink for the nostrils
Remember to let each step dry before starting the next to prevent smears :)

60's psychedelic nails/Black & White Water Marbling

Hi Guys,
This was my first attempt at water marbling. This design was requested by a friend :)
I have to say that water marbling was one of the most difficult things that I've come across. This was my 10th attempt and the results didn't meet my expectations. From my experience, I have to say that water marbling is messy, time consuming and wasteful :/ so keep that in mind if you're a first timer like me. Although I do like the designs, I need more practice. I'll try different colors next time.

  1. Chose your colors
  2. Wrap the skin around your nail with tape for easier clean-up
  3. Alternate putting each color into a cup of room temperature water
  4. Swirl the colors using a toothpick
  5. Dip your nail in the polish-be sure to cover your whole nail

Add drops of nail polish into room temperature water and swirl with a toothpick

Wrap tape around you fingers for easy clean up
Dip your nail into the cup

After I removed the tape

You get unique designs every time :]

Pretty cool, huh?

Finger Paints 'Cerulean Seascape'

Hey! This is my first polish by Finger Paints and the quality is top notch, next to OPI and Essie. The polish is very pigmented and the application was smooth. This is 'Cerulean Seacape', a vibrant midnight blue. Stunning color!

Add a 2 dimensional silver metallic flower stud :)

Anime Cartoon Nails :D

Hi There! This is my attempt at 3D cartoon Anime nails. This is a very simple design although you will need a steady hand. It's not perfect but close enough :) It's outstanding if you know what I mean XD I hope you give this a try.

Scroll down to get this design :)

Left: 'Pink Forever' by Sinful Colors
Middle Left: 'White on White' by China Glaze
Middle Right: 'Black' by Stripe Rite
Right: 'White' by Stripe Rite

The thin brush helps with precision :)

Start with a baby pink base coat
'Pink Forever' by Sinful Colors.

Line the right edge with black polish
Line the left edge with black polish
Line your cuticle with black

Line all 4 edges of your nail with black and add a white dot on the lower right corner of each nail
Dots are created by the end of a regular nail polish brush-I used 'White on White' by China Glaze

Last step: Add a  curved line above the white dot

Sunset Ombre

Hello Followers :) This is my first attempt at ombre nails. I used the sponge method which was pretty messy but I love the results. I've never tried this before because I was against wasting nail polish but wastage very minimal. Ombre nails are really easy to do- it took about 10 minutes.

The footage on this design was less than desirable. I had polish on my edges that I was too impatient to remove. I shot at different angles to disguise the mess but also took this  opportunity to shoot a short video clip :)

Left: 'Scream' by Pure Ice
Middle: 'Hydrangerous' by Love
Right: 'Dreamy Poppy' by Wet n Wild

Start with 2 coats of 'White on White' by China Glaze

Cut a make-up sponge to fit the length and width of your nails.
Paint a strip of each color on the sponge.

Dab the sponge on your nail.
